Krista Bissiallon

Program Coordinator, Learning & Collaboration

Krista Bissiallon is French settler & Anishinaabe kwe from Bawating, born and raised in Robinson-Huron Treaty territory, with roots in Mississauga First Nation. She is a graduate of the Community Economic and Social Development program out of Algoma University and continues to live and work in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Krista has filled many community development roles during her career, holding positions within her home community of the Algoma region, as well as across Ontario and nationally. Her primary focus of work has been in youth, nonprofit and philanthropic sectors with a special focus on elevating the voices of Indigenous peoples.

As Program Coordinator, Learning and Collaboration, Krista brings her enthusiasm for people, innovation, social justice, and community development to the role. Krista is passionate about maintaining good relationships between philanthropy and community, and she is excited to leverage her passions in this role.
