Guidelines on Qualifying Disbursements and Non-Qualified Donees

10 January 2023 / Registration Closed

Earlier in 2022, the Government of Canada introduced a new regulatory regime for partnerships between charities and non-qualified donees as part of its first Budget Implementation Bill (to learn more see PFC’s June 21 policy update).

On November 30, 2022, they shared with the public draft guidelines to help the sector better understand the new rules. The public has until January 31, 2023 to review them and provide the government with feedback.

Join us to hear more about the new rules and the proposed guidelines, and to answer any questions you might have. We hope as many PFC members and partners as possible can review the guidelines and share their input.

Jean-Marc Mangin, President and CEO of PFC will be facilitating and will be joined by:

Liban Abokor, Co-founder and Board Member, Foundation for Black Communities (FFBC); Fellow, School of Public Policy & Administration, Carleton University

Lee Burton, Director of Philanthropic Services, MakeWay; Member of PFC Policy Committee

We are pleased to partner with The Philanthropist Journal on this event. See President and CEO Jean-Marc Mangin’s recent Op Ed about the guidelines here.
