Engaging as Stewards in the Nonprofit & Philanthropic Data Ecosystem

CEOs and other leaders, from PFC members and other philanthropic organizations

What?

Building on our initial conversations to explore our roles in the data ecosystem, we are bringing together funders and collaborators interested in acting as stewards to cultivate the nonprofit and philanthropic data ecosystem. As a collective, we will discuss how to advance a thriving digitally enabled data ecosystem that centers the needs of nonprofits and charities.

In this discussion, we will:

  • Review the harvest from our November and February exploration convenings
  • Discuss overall themes around strategies, tactics and possible working groups to bring to life reports, recommendations and rich insights from our community
  • Lean into people and organizations with the ability to give time, resources and knowledge towards making these intentions a reality. 

We would like to engage a broad set of funders in furthering these conversations. If there are other funders in your networks who you think would like to be part of these discussions, please share this event with them. 

This meeting is jointly hosted by the Canadian Centre for Nonprofit Digital Resilience (CCNDR), Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN), Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), and Philanthropic Foundations of Canada (PFC).

The meeting will be in English with French interpretation as needed, and any breakout discussions will be offered in both French and English.

Sara Krynitzki

Director, Public Affairs & Research

Sara has spent over 20 years leading non-profit initiatives across Canada. She began her career in fundraising, has worked on Parliament Hill, and for over eight years managed community initiatives and granting for one of Canada’s largest community foundations, allocating millions of dollars annually, and connecting philanthropy to the greatest needs to tackle inequity.

As Director of Public Affairs and Research, Sara guides PFC’s thought-leadership, advocacy agenda, research, and public relations activities to foster good public policies for the sector and to advance impactful, forward-thinking philanthropy.

She has a BA in Political Studies from Trent University and a Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration from Concordia University. Having lived in several communities across Canada and internationally, Sara is now based in Toronto with her husband and three children.
