About Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Funders Affinity Group SOGI Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Funders Affinity Group The SOGI Funders’ Affinity Group comprises representatives from Canadian-based philanthropic funders and governments that have a particular interest in funding charities supporting the 2SLGBTQi+ and additional people who identify as part of sexual and gender diverse communities, both within and outside Canada. Our Work Funder Affinity Groups PFC Connects SOGI The Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) Funders’ Affinity Group comprises representatives from Canadian-based philanthropic funders (private, family, public, individual, and corporate) and governments that have a particular interest in funding charities supporting the Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and additional people who identify as part of sexual and gender diverse communities (2SLGBTQi+), both within and outside Canada. Members are encouraged to contribute their organizational expertise, funding priorities, and insights on 2SLGBTQi+ policy, programs, and research. The group provides access to a member contact list, quarterly gatherings (including an annual in-person networking event), and regular communications on relevant topics. Additional webinars and meetings can be organized by members, with invitations extended to the group. Who is this group for? Membership of this group is determined by the group convenors.
