Contributing to the Global Response to Fight the Covid-19 Pandemic: What are the Opportunities for Canadian Philanthropy?

Canadian funders are responding generously to the local and national challenges of the COVID 19 pandemic. But we also need to look beyond our borders in the face of a global pandemic. This webinar will focus on the opportunities for contributing to global collective efforts. These range from supporting the most vulnerable through direct relief to a coordinated cross-national effort to develop effective therapies and ultimately a successful vaccine. Join us for a panel conversation about the global situation and the role of Canadian philanthropy, featuring Dr Peter Singer, former CEO of Grand Challenges Canada and now a special advisor to the Director-General of the WHO, and representatives of Canadian foundations funding across borders.
