Videos Equity, Inclusion & Diversity COVID-19, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion The COVID-19 crisis has challenged foundations like never before to be more nimble and to respond effectively to rapidly changing and urgent needs. Foundations are grappling with how to not only respond quickly but to think critically about how they can ensure these responses are intentional with a long term vision to create a more resilient Canadian society. PFC and other philanthropic networks have worked together to develop “Five Guiding Principles for Supporting Grantees”. This webinar will dig deeper into what these principles actually mean when we look at them through a people-centered approach. We will share tips and tools to support foundations to respond to the crisis using a DEI lens and will address critical issues such as how foundations can place the most vulnerable and marginalized at the center of their granting while avoiding exacerbating inequalities or unintentionally creating new ones. Panelists: Sarah Jama (she/her), co-founder of the Disability Justice Network of Ontario Hanifa Kassam (she/her), former Board Chair of the Laidlaw Foundation and DEI consultant Jon Waitzer (they/them), co-founder of Resource Movement Adam Saifer (he/him), postdoctoral researcher with PhiLab on DEI philanthropy Presentation Slides available here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nbmx35ub1oe… Please take a moment to fill up the following survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DC3F68T
