Funder Affinity Groups Affinity Groups bring together individuals from grantmaking organizations, including PFC members and non-members, with shared professional interests to collaborate, learn, and network. These peer-led groups provide a supportive environment for exchanging ideas, tackling challenges, and deepening expertise through regular meetings, discussions, and collaborative projects. Organizations eligible to be included in these groups for funders are: private foundations, public foundations (community foundation), corporate giving programs, not-for-profit grantmakers, government grantmakers, and donor advised funds. Professional Development Our Capacity Building initiatives bring grantmakers together to connect, learn, and bring about solutions that advance the common good and work towards more impactful philanthropy. Our three areas of focus – Capacity Building, Collaboration, Research and Policy – are mutually reinforcing and are at the core of PFC’s work.
