PFC News PFC’s 2024 Conference – Program Streams, Sessions & Speakers André Vashist Jan 15, 2024 5 mins read News & Insights PFC News PFC’s 2024 Conference – Program Streams, Sessions & Speakers Streams In consultation with our membership, we have developed three programming streams that we believe best reflect the diverse needs of the philanthropic community, while allowing us to rally together to address shared societal concerns. We are excited to announce our three programming streams and thank everyone who contributed their ideas to help shape our upcoming national conference! Sessions Over the last several months, we have also been listening to what specific topics feel most relevant for our community and have created this shortlist of potential sessions within each stream. We cannot wait to develop these further, with your help! Fundamentals Practical educational sessions that range from introductory (101) to technical (201) Trends & Tensions Honest dialogues centred on new developments, urgent issues and intractable challenges Collaboration Open forums and spaces for learning, sharing and networking Sessions During December and January we turned to our community for speaker nominations and are delighted to have received more than 100 proposals. Throughout February, we will select the speakers in accordance with our stated approach which you can read in our blog entitled “We are all leaders in knowledge-sharing”. Please note that not all the suggested speakers will be invited to speak or facilitate at the conference, yet everyone will be added to our potential speakers list for future programming. Stay tuned for the announcement of our Program in May 2024. Co-creating with our community to date Our audience We hope to grow to 400 participants this year, making this our biggest conference yet! This conference is for our members, other foundations, and grantmakers in our network. We also hope to engage folks from the broader philanthropic sector, including charities & nonprofits, government, academia, emerging leaders, and students involved in the sector. Our commitment Our goal is to create this conference with our community; therefore, we are continuing to engage, listen to and solicit feedback and ideas – just like this call for speakers. In addition, we have guiding principles that help orient all our conference organizing activities and approaches. Please review the images below to learn more about how we have co–created the conference to date, and our commitment to making it a wonderful experience for all conference participants.
