2025 CEO Retreat

The 2025 PFC CEO Retreat is taking place from Tuesday, May 20 to Thursday, May 22 in Whistler, BC at the beautiful Nita Lake Lodge Resort & Spa!

The CEO Retreat is an annual in-person gathering and community of peers for PFC member CEOs (or equivalent title), to discuss key issues and important developments in the sector in an informal but facilitated format.

Thank you for your interest in the 2025 CEO Retreat. Due to overwhelming demand – and limited venue capacity – the retreat has sold out. Registration has now ended.

  • Tuesday, May 20

    CEO Optional Pre-Session: Addressing Polarization and Building Unified Strategies

    Open invitation to all CEOs attending the retreat

    Join us for an optional session ahead of the PFC CEO Retreat to tackle some of the most pressing issues of our time. Whether our foundations focus on social, environmental or economic issues, polarization in the current social and political context is creating barriers for progress for us and our partners. This session will focus on navigating polarization and building bridges across difference to advance shared goals. Together, we will explore strategies to foster inclusivity, counter extremism, and build coalitions for positive change.

  • Wednesday, May 21

    Throughout the day, various participatory sessions

    Including:

    • How Philanthropy Can Help Safeguard Canada’s Future
    • 2025 federal elections

    Two external activities

    • Gondola -optional, additional cost
    • or nature walk; visit to Audauin Museum

    Whistler Village

    Dinner in small groups at various local restaurants in Whistler village (included in registration fee)

  • Thursday, May 22

    Sessions continue

    Including:

    • Reflections on justice and, equity in the Trump era;
    • 10-year anniversary of the Philanthropic Declaration of Action on the TRC calls for action;
    • Addressing polarization & hate: Building a Canadian philanthropic response.

Getting to the Lodge

Nita Lake Lodge Resort & Spa is located at the intersection of forest paths & bike trails, mountains and water, and minutes away from Whistler Creekside. There are a variety of transportation options available to get to the lodge.

Accommodation

Accommodation is included in your registration fee. Should you wish to extend your stay, you will have to contact the reservations team at the lodge to make those arrangements, which are based on availability.

Please note that check-in time is after 4:00 PM and check-out time is 11:00 AM.

Meals

Meals are included in the registration fee. All meals will be held at the Nita Lake Lodge, with the exception of the evening of Wednesday, May 21 where we will be having dinner in Whistler Village at one of the local restaurants (including with registration fee). A hospitality suite will be available after each dinner.
