PFC 2025-2026 Board Committee Nominations Form PFC 2025-2026 Board Committee Nominations Form Position: Volunteer Published: July 7, 2025 Closing: August 1, 2025 Candidacy Call for PFC Board Committees for 2025-2026 Philanthropic Foundations Canada’s (“PFC”) has three Board committees that welcomes members from across its network. The PFC Nominating Committee invites you to consider putting forward your candidacy for 1-3 available positions for each of the following Board committees: Finance & Audit The Finance & Audit Committee supports the Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight of financial management, corporate accounting and the quality and integrity of the financial reports. This committee also reviews PFC cybersecurity. Member Services The Member Services Committee is responsible for identifying and recommending policies and initiatives to the President & CEO that promote the professional development, recruitment and retention of PFC members. Public Policy The purpose of the Public Policy Committee is to recommend to the President & CEO public policy issues, based on member concerns. The Committee is also responsible for recommending strategies and actions to bring about a favourable legislative and regulatory environment for philanthropy. The deadline for submissions is Friday, August 1. Candidate submissions will be reviewed and if necessary, invited for an interview. The selected candidates will be invited to attend the first committee meetings of the year which are scheduled for the last week of August and first weeks of September. This process aims to ensure that the various committees reflect PFC’s full diversity, of its membership, and that it is populated with the necessary leadership and expertise to advance philanthropy and PFC’s 2025-2028 Strategic Framework. Criteria Candidates can be a staff member (at any level) or a Board director from a PFC member. The nominating committee will strive to keep the committees as representative as possible by: Drawing from all regions of Canada. Representing foundations of all sizes and types (family, corporate, public). Having candidates from all age brackets. Seeking candidates who bring perspectives from other forms of diversity (Indigenous peoples; racialized Canadians; new Canadians; disabled Canadians). Welcoming all genders and sexual orientations. Some things to keep in mind when submitting your candidacy: The term is one (1) year, and renewable. The committees meet four (4) times a year, virtually, in advance of Board meetings; with occasional special meetings as required.
