Dear members and partners of PFC, I am writing to announce that, following more than five years of loyal service, our dear colleague Inès Chaâlala will be leaving PFC at the end of April to join the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation as Director of Communications, where she will be responsible for communications and knowledge mobilization. She will be supporting the foundation’s mission to prevent poverty by contributing to establish conditions conducive to the development of the full potential of all youth in Quebec. Since 2018, Inès has worked in knowledge mobilization and partnership development to build programming for PFC members. With five PFC conferences under her belt, she is the architect of the JEDI Accelerator, the first such peer-learning course for foundations, which is now in its second edition. She also played a key role in launching our climate action programming in 2020, which has given rise to what is commonly referred to as the first climate commitment in Canadian philanthropy. Since arriving to PFC, Ines has contributed with passion and commitment to delivering quality programming on a range of issues as diverse as justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, reconciliation with Aboriginal peoples, evidence and trust-based philanthropy and social finance. Always with her collaborative spirit, she has also helped build and nurture lasting relationships with key players in the charitable sector and with PFC members. Many PFC members will have experienced Inès’ capacity to help shape compelling programming, to gently help us consider new evidence-based paths for more impactful philanthropy and her great sense of humor. Join me in wishing Inès the best in her new role. I expect her to stay very much involved in the PFC network – but now as a member. Jean-Marc Share This Article Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email
