What Are The SDGs and Why Do They Matter
In 2015, Canada adopted the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We are committed as a country to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all, with targets to be reached by 2030. Philanthropy has an important role to play in helping Canada reach the SDGs. Over the next year, PFC will be working closely with members and partners to help you use the SDGs as a framework for your grantmaking. Using this common framework will effectively align philanthropy, government and business to tackle some of the most important issues across the country and the world.
