The Canada Not-For-Profit Corporations Act has given all federally-incorporated not-for-profit organizations until October 2014 to make an application for continuance under the new Act. The deadline is fast approaching! If you have not already done so, now is the time to familiarize yourself with the process required for the transition to the new Act. For charitable foundations, this requires applications to two federal departments, Industry Canada and the Canada Revenue Agency.
Please join us for a discussion led by Richard Bridge and Hilary Pearson who will give you an overview of the key provisions in the Act and what absolutely must be done to meet the requirements ahead of the October 2014 deadline. If you have not yet begun to prepare, we strongly suggest that you attend this webinar. Please send us any specific questions you may have in advance and we will do our best to address them!
