Our Members

PFC had 112 members at the end of 2012. The majority are family foundations of varying sizes and interests, and 42% of members operate with few to no staff.

PFC members:

collectively manage close to $8.8 billion in assets;
granted over $288 million in 2011 (36% of members restricted their grants to a particular geographic region and 36% focused on a specific target population – mostly children and youth);
disbursed over $138 million on foundation-managed charitable activities in 2010; and
range in asset size from under $10 million (51%) to over $100 million in assets (12%).
