Center for Effective Philanthropy Conference 2017
The recent conference of the Center for Effective Philanthropy featured many discussions on the changing political context in the United States, the need for thoughtful listening, and for reconsideration of where foundations can do their most effective work. Some of the themes discussed at the conference are noted in Hilary Pearson’s blog. Another thoughtful blog piece by Jim Canales of the Barr Foundation on the funder-grantee power dynamic and the challenges of having frank conversations, discussed in a plenary panel at the conference, is posted on the CEP blog. CEP has posted recaps of the conference on its blog as well.
