The Burns Memorial Fund: Releases A Practice Framework for Working with Vulnerable Youth
Burns Memorial Fund of Calgary and United Way of Calgary and Area have released “Working with Vulnerable Youth to Enhance their Natural Supports: A Practice Framework”. A growing body of research clearly demonstrates the connection between positive natural supports (family, peers, community) and healthy youth development. Natural supports play a critical role in promoting youth resiliency, social integration, and positive development. The Practice Framework is intended to be helpful to agencies and their funders who work with vulnerable youth anywhere in Canada. It is the culmination of two years of work with 13 dedicated community partners, known as the Change Collective.
